Well, it may have taken us a while (most things do), but it’s done. Cambria is officially for sale. Despite having a clear idea about how we wanted to approach this process, it turned out to be a lot more difficult than either David or I had imagined. In fact, it’s still a work in progress. But we’re tired of waiting for all of the pieces of this complicated puzzle to come together and have decided to throw it all out there . . . or here, anyway. So we’ve put together an official listing on the blogsite, “Cambria’s for Sale”.
Why are we selling?
We’ve been fighting it for a while, but the answer’s simple: It’s time to move on and we both know it. It’s not an easy thing to admit. Cambria’s been our home for 13 years and we love her . . . a lot. But we’re ready for a change.
What makes Cambria so special?
For starters, she was designed by Ron Holland which means she’s fast and sails like a complete dream despite being a comfortable live-aboard. She was built to a high standard (think Oyster and Hallberg-Rassy) as an offshore vessel, a fact that’s reflected in her stout standing rigging. She’s a 240 volt boat, which is perfect for those wanting to cruise outside of North America. She's extremely well equipped. And she’s currently located in one of the world’s premier cruising grounds – the Inside Passage.
